🌿Waging War on Our Body

There is so much more to nourishing your body than chasing numbers on a label. Calories don’t tell you whether a food strengthens your cells, supports your hormones, or feeds your microbiome. Carbs don’t tell you whether a food is life‑giving or lifeless. You can eat “low‑calorie” or “low‑carb” all day long and still starve your body of the nutrients it was designed to thrive on.

Just Eat Real Food

This should be our matra.

The Standard American Diet—SAD in every sense—is built on foods that look filling but leave the body empty: starchy fillers, refined sugars, factory‑made snacks, processed meats, and chemical‑laden convenience foods. They quiet hunger for a moment but never nourish the deeper systems that keep us well.

🌱 What Is Real Food?

Real food is food that still resembles the way God and nature created it. It’s food that hasn’t been broken apart, bleached, dyed, stretched, or chemically reshaped. Real food is the ingredient list itself—simple, whole, recognizable.

⚠️ Why Processed Foods Work Against the Body

The problem with processed foods isn’t just what they contain—it’s what they don’t contain. They lack the minerals, enzymes, antioxidants, and living compounds your body depends on for repair and resilience.

Many processed foods are built from:

  • chemically altered additives

  • artificial colors and flavors

  • synthetic sweeteners

  • stabilizers and emulsifiers

  • genetically manipulated ingredients

  • preservatives designed for shelf life, not human life

These compounds are foreign to the body’s natural design. They burden detox pathways, disrupt cellular communication, and interfere with the body’s ability to maintain balance.

Read labels. Every label.

When you begin reading labels, you’ll notice the same industrial ingredients showing up again and again—ingredients that don’t belong in a human body.

The list below is from Waking Times in an article called The Reality of Chemical Terrorism in Our Food.

Artificial Flavors and Colors

Artificial flavors and colors are made from a chemical derived in a lab with no nutritional value. They have a detrimental effect on health, including neurotoxicity, organ, developmental and reproductive toxicity and cancer.

Examples

  • Glutamates

  • MSG (monosodium glutamate)

  • Maltodextrin

  • Blue 1, Blue 2

  • Yellow 5, Yellow 6

  • Red 3, Red 40

Genetically modified foods are known to cause allergies, organ damage, cancer, immunotoxicity and damaging transgenes that affect generations to come.

Examples

  • Corn flour, corn meal, corn oil, corn syrup, corn gluten

  • Corn sweeteners such as dextrose, fructose and glucose

  • Modified food starch

  • Soy flour, soy lecithin, soy protein, soy isolate, soy isoflavone

  • Most vegetable oils and vegetable proteins

  • Canola oil (aka rapeseed oil)

  • Cottonseed oil

  • Anything not listed as 100% cane sugar

Toxic Preservatives

Artificial preservatives are responsible for health problems involving the respiratory tract, heart, blood and other systems of the body. Some preservatives are very neurotoxic especially when combined with particular nutrients.

Examples

  • Antimicrobials

  • Sodium nitrates

  • Sodium nitrites

  • BHA

  • BHT

  • Sulfites

  • Potassium Sorbate

  • Benzoic Acid

  • Propyl Gallate

  • Sodium Benzoate

Toxic Emulsifiers

An emulsifier replaces surface protein and helps in forming the

network in specific food recipes. There are NO healthy, non-organic emulsifiers. They are ALL toxic causing infertility, digestive disorders and migraines.

Examples

  • Polysorbate 80

  • Mono-diglycerides

  • Carrageenan

  • Xanthan gum (non-organic)

  • Soy Lecithin or soya lecithin

Toxic Sweeteners

Sweeteners such as Neotame are thousands of times sweeter than sugar. They are all very potent, neurotoxic, immunotoxic and excitotoxic.

Examples

  • Aspartame

  • High fructose corn syrup

  • Neotame

  • Sucralose

  • Sodium cyclamate

  • Acesulfame potassium or acesulfame-K

Toxic Adulterants

Food fraud and economically motivated food adulteration is highlighted by some very toxic substances which cause cancer, glaucoma, digestive and liver disorders. These are added to foods to increase their color, volume or weight.

Examples

  • Metanil Yellow

  • Potassium bromate

  • Malachite green

  • Tamarind seeds

  • Washing powder

  • Argemone seeds

When you remove foods that burden the body and replace them with foods that nourish the body, you create space for healing. Real, organic, non‑GMO, whole foods support the systems that restore balance—digestion, detoxification, hormones, immunity, and cellular repair.

Your body is always trying to heal. Your food can either support that process or fight against it.

We only get one body. Why wage war on it when we can nourish it instead?
